Where do you call home? I grew up in Birmingham, Alabama.
What is your current role at Southern Power? I am a Business Development Manager, executing Southern Power’s growth strategy through the acquisition of new generating assets across all renewable, natural gas and storage technologies.
What are your hobbies? I’m an avid runner. I’ve run almost a dozen half marathons in more than three different states, including the Triple Crown competition in Alabama, which is three half marathons in three months.
What’s the best vacation you’ve taken? I’m not sure if this counts as a vacation, but I attended culinary school in Florence, Italy. I was there for three months. The class was based on the history of Italian culture and its impact on cooking traditions. We would have a mini-history lesson every morning, and then, we would make a meal that related to that period of history. We learned how to make an authentic spaghetti with handmade pasta; that was definitely my favorite.
Favorite food. Anything with pasta, specifically Chicken Marsala. That’s my favorite thing to make for my family.
If you were stuck on an island, what three things would you bring? Basic island necessities: some books for entertainment, my running shoes and my family. Then it’s like we’re on vacation.
Tell us something we might not know about you. I learned to water ski when I was six on one solemn ski, and I love to ski every chance I get!
What is your biggest pet peeve? I hate being late, but sometimes I don’t even abide my own rule.
What are you currently watching on Netflix? I’m watching “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”, which is actually a show on Amazon Prime.
