Where do you call home? I was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama.

What is your current role at Southern Power? I am a Business Development Associate, executing Southern Power’s growth strategy through the acquisition of new generating assets across all renewable, natural gas and storage technologies.

What are your hobbies? You can always find me doing something whether its traveling, Pure Barre, trying new restaurants or planning an event.

What’s the best vacation you’ve taken? In 10th grade, I went to Ukraine for two weeks to serve in an orphanage. This included children whose parents couldn’t afford medicine to treat mental illnesses. It was a life changing experience and one I will never forget.

Favorite food. All food. I am the biggest foodie and will be at every new restaurant on opening day.

If you were stuck on an island, what three things would you bring? In true Survivor fashion, I would bring a machete, mosquito net and a cooking pot.

Tell us something we might not know about you. My husband and I love finding new and exciting ways to spend a “date night.” We share our adventures with our friends and hope it will inspire couples to never stop dating and to provide new and exciting ways to spend time with your significant other.

What is the last book you read? Unfortunately, it was not for entertainment. I read Corporate Finance by Ross, Westerfield, Jaffe and Jordan for my online MBA financial analysis class.

Tell us something on your bucket list. I want to travel to all 50 states before I am 50 years old. Only 18 to go before I reach my goal!

What is the first thing you’d buy if you won the lottery? I would buy another lottery ticket. Clearly, luck was in my favor!

What is your biggest pet peeve? People biting their nails.

Do you have a hidden talent? I am an unofficial travel agent. I use travel and food blogs to plan minute-by-minute itineraries for my vacations.

What are you currently watching on Netflix? My husband and I are watching Criminal Minds and are training to become the next FBI behavioral analysis unit specialists.
